Our theme for National Volunteer Week 2022 is Let's Grow Something Together. We want to thank all of our supporters— from volunteers to nonprofits, donors and funders to corporate folks stepping up to the social impact plate. Each and every one of you have been part of our 24 year journey, which recently met a milestone of reaching 17 Million volunteer connections! YOU are a part of all that good.
We have another large milestone to share with you.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am pleased to introduce Jude O’Reilley, who will officially take the helm as CEO on May 3rd. Jude has more than 25 years of experience in technology, leadership, and entrepreneurship in the private sector and in the world of social change.
As our outgoing CEO and co-founder Greg Baldwin shared in his blog post when the search commenced, “We have a proud legacy of service, a bold vision for the future and have never been better positioned to attract a world-class leader with the talent, experience and passion needed to embolden the organization’s capacity to serve.”
We are certain we have found that match in Jude.
Jude comes to us from the Skoll Foundation, where he has been leading investments in global social entrepreneurship. Prior to that, Jude worked at Amazon and other companies and start-ups where he focused on market-centered product development. A seasoned organizational leader in social innovation, he has launched more than 100 consumer and enterprise products.
An avid volunteer, Jude used VolunteerMatch to find a volunteer position with Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, where he still serves. Additionally, Jude works with the National Ski Patrol as a volunteer ski patroller at Homewood Mountain Resort in Lake Tahoe. He lives with his wife and two children in the San Francisco Bay Area. We invite you to read more about Jude’s background and his personal volunteer story.
Jude is excited to be a part of the impactful group of people who have helped VolunteerMatch grow to over 17 million volunteer connections! We encourage you to check out our social media toolkit to share a post about these milestones during National Volunteer Week.
Thank you for all of your support over the years and as we look to the future.
