NFL PLAY 60 and VolunteerMatch Partner to Encourage Adults to Volunteer for Kids’ Health and Wellness

This week VolunteerMatch is pleased to announce the launch of the NFL PLAY 60 VolunterMatch Web site to help make it easier for fans to discover volunteer opportunities in the youth health and wellness space.

The NFL PLAY 60 VolunteerMatch Web site, now accessible at http://www.nflrush.com/play60, helps interested parties find local volunteer opportunities from VolunteerMatch’s national network of more than 75,000 participating nonprofits.

Volunteer listings will also connect visitors to NFL programs such as NFL FLAG football, Girls’ Flag Football, NFL Punt, Pass & Kick, PLAY 60 Challenge, and Fuel Up To Play 60, as well as offers play tips from NFL players.

“We are excited to offer fans an additional way to ‘join the movement’ by volunteering in the name of NFL PLAY 60,” said Peter O’Reilly, NFL Vice President of Marketing and Fan Strategy. “The PLAY 60-branded VolunteerMatch page will help improve communities while reinforcing the NFL’s active message.”

“Childhood obesity is a real issue,” said Greg Baldwin, President of VolunteerMatch. “With support from the NFL, we will be able to raise awareness and encourage more people to get involved.”
