VolunteerMatch is thrilled to announce a new partnership with M·A·C Cosmetics.
M·A·C has a long history of engagement in the community and a track record of creatively inspiring employees and customers. Cosmetics buyers who take advantage of M·A·C’s recycling program, Back to M·A·C, can receive a free lipstick when they bring in six empty M·A·C containers. The company also donates each and every dollar of sales from Viva Glam lipsticks and lip glosses to the M·A·C AIDS Fund.
M·A·C Artist volunteers support HIV/AIDS organizations through the M·A·C Good Spirits program where volunteers teach men and women with HIV/AIDS makeup techniques to help them enhance their appearance, boosting self esteem and confidence. Building on that initiative, employees wanted to make an even greater commitment. In that spirit, on World AIDS Day 2009, M·A·C volunteers took off their brush belts, rolled up their sleeves and volunteered with local M·A·C AIDS Fund grantees providing direct services to people living with HIV/AIDS. This was M·A·C’s first annual World AIDS Day global volunteer initiative giving employees the chance to make the difference in their local communities.
We are inspired by your work, M·A·C. Can we have a free lipstick?
