Find The Right Volunteers Faster with One-Click Reposting

February 27, 2018

Imagine this scenario: you write a position description, craft a compelling volunteer opportunity, hit publish, then wait. You either don’t receive many responses or hear back from volunteers that aren’t a great fit. Here’s where things get interesting: you’re not alone! For the third year in-a-row, volunteer managers worldwide still list volunteer recruitment as their #1 challenge.

As the web’s largest volunteer engagement network, we understand volunteer recruitment because it’s etched into our ethos. Volunteer recruitment isn’t about onboarding every volunteer who expresses interest, but rather, finding volunteers who are the right fit — people who exemplify the characteristics and skills you set out to find in the first place.

More than 118,000 organizations turn to VolunteerMatch to propel their volunteer recruitment efforts. And while our intuitive tools were created to help volunteer administrators recruit volunteers, our Member Benefits make it easier to find the perfect fit.

This week, we’re spotlighting our most popular member benefit and an essential time-saver: one-click reposting!

About One-Click Reposting

By default, newer volunteer opportunities display higher on VolunteerMatch search results. With one-click reposting, however, you can keep your volunteer opportunities toward the top of search results. Potential volunteers will see your opportunities first without having to wade through pages and pages of options.

To repost an active volunteer opportunity, become a VolunteerMatch Member. Then, click the circular arrow icon in the repost column on your organization dashboard. It’s that simple. But don’t take our word for it. Read what your peers have to say about one-click reposting and how it’s helped them recruit better volunteers faster.

“I cannot tell you how happy I am that you now offer one-click reposting. It saves me so much time and helps increase visibility and recruitment!” says Heather Heavey of Interim HealthCare: Gift of Hospice. “Instead of reposting once a week, I now repost several times a week with ease and have experienced an increase in volunteer interest as a result.”

“Reposting makes our opportunities more visible,” says Mid-Cities Care Corps’ Allison Wendler. “VolunteerMatch wasn’t utilized before I started working here. When I was hired, I purchased a VolunteerMatch membership and we’ve received nearly 117 volunteer inquiries in one year as opposed to about 150 in the 10 years prior.”

“We are getting more responses than we ever did before!” —Andrea Wilson, Blue Faery: The Adrienne Wilson Liver Cancer Association

To help you make the most of our platform, we offer additional support for VolunteerMatch Members through our Help Center articles and Learning Center webinars. If you’re looking to address and resolve your volunteer recruitment challenges, learn how becoming a VolunteerMatch Member can help.
