Innovative New Partnership Brings More Volunteers to Junior Achievement

It’s easy to find things to celebrate during National Volunteer Week: the work of long-time dedicated volunteers, the commitment of new volunteers, and the potential of all those who have not yet found the right opportunity.

We’re excited to announce another thing to celebrate: the launch of a different type of partnership here at VolunteerMatch. MetLife Foundation has provided funding for Junior Achievement to join our Preferred Partner Program.

This VolunteerMatch package of services is for nonprofits with multiple chapters, and it will enable all 126 local area offices of JA to recruit volunteers via VolunteerMatch. It will also provide JA with access to engagement metrics and analysis to drive its volunteer recruitment efforts, increase student reach, and ultimately boost local economies by inspiring a skilled workforce and competitive new entrepreneurs.

Junior Achievement is the world’s largest organization dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy. They currently reach four million students in the United States, with an additional 5.8 million students served by operations in 123 other countries worldwide.

Thanks to MetLife Foundation’s generosity and commitment to action and innovation, this new partnership will enable JA to have even more of an impact in promoting mentorship and economic empowerment of youth. Through increased access to the VolunteerMatch network, JA will be able to dramatically expand its volunteer base.

Does your nonprofit works in close partnership with a corporation? If so, this could be a great model for you to strengthen your capacity to recruit volunteers and give your corporate partner an opportunity to fund a technology service that will make a real impact.
