“Any time.  Any place.  Any tongue.”

Those were VolunteerMatch head Greg Baldwin’s words as he challenged Stephen Colbert to an ice cream taste-off today, man-to-man, and spoon-to-spoon.  As he said, “we want Stephen Colbert to put his ice cream where his mouth is.”

We’re pitting delicious Berry Voluntary against Stephen Colbert’s Americone Dream in an effort to raise awareness about volunteering and to get VolunteerMatch head, Greg Baldwin, on the Colbert Report to talk about how important it is.

To support the work of VolunteerMatch, Ben & Jerry’s and Target have created a new ice cream flavor, Berry Voluntary, sold exclusively at Target Stores. This summer we hosted “Scoop It Forward,” a fun campaign to promote volunteer engagement that gave away thousands of free coupons for pints to those who got connected with nonprofits at http://www.volunteermatch.org.

Now you can take this campaign even further – by joining the Spoon to Spoon Challenge.

What can you do to help?

Join the challenge and help make ice cream history.

  1. Watch the video above.
  2. Promote the campaign to your volunteers and community members by sending them to http://colbert.vmchallenge.com.

Together, we can convince Stephen Colbert that volunteers, and the nonprofits like you that work with them, belong on his show.  So grab a spoon today!
