The All-Star Game Video on Volunteering: Over the Plate, or Foul Ball?

This week millions of Americans tuning in to the Major League Baseball All-Star game caught a pitch from five U.S. presidents to get involved in service activities.

“I hope tonight’s showcase of service will be an inspiration, a model for what’s possible and call to action,” said President Obama. “Go to Serve.gov and find out how you can be involved.”

The impetus is United We Serve, a new campaign of national and community service promotions led by the Corporation for National and Community Service, the President, the First Lady, a raft of celebrities, and more than a few members of the Cabinet.
