As you read this, some 4,500 people are getting ready to descend on Moscone Center here in San Francisco from June 22-24 for the 2009 National Conference on Volunteering and Service.
Already billed as the world’s largest gathering of volunteer and service leaders from the nonprofit, government, and corporate sectors, the 2009 event is shaping up to to be the largest and arguably most important conference on volunteering in U.S. history.
VolunteerMatch usually sends a fairly large contingent to the conference each year, but we’re astonished by the growing interest and excitement of this year’s event. There are too many great speakers, fascinating sessions, and amazing networking events to list in one place.
It’s a great time to be in the volunteering business!
