Working with large companies to manage their volunteer engagement needs for the last 10 years has taught us a thing or two about what it takes to build a successful program and how to keep up momentum over time. Blood, sweat, and cheers have gone into each program we’ve launched, and we’re excited to share this dedication and talent with our community in a whole new way.
Earlier this year, we announced VolunteerMatch Consulting Services to help companies develop programs to successfully engage volunteers. We know that each organization has a unique culture and specific business goals, and that there isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution for volunteer programs. Over the summer we completed our pilot program and refined our approach to create a world-class process for organizations of all types looking to start or grow a volunteer program.

It Starts with a Question

Digging In for Discovery
Once we have your main goal identified, we dig in to our discovery phase. Two of our Senior Consulting Client Relations Managers (CRMs) go on-site to conduct interviews and focus groups of your key stakeholders, and learn all there is to know about your corporate culture and existing program.
Analysis with the Volunteer Program Change Model
We developed the Volunteer Program Change Model* to assess the nine core components of a strong volunteer program against five Levels of Change. When paired with the in-person stakeholder interviews, this process helps identify points of strength and weakness in an existing program. The model provides an individualized approach to help define and promote program growth, set goals and understand success.
The Magic Bullet: The Insights
After cultivating insights from the discovery and analysis phases, our Senior Consulting CRMs boil down their work into key findings, recommendations and an action plan for integration – putting clients on the path to program success. A written Insights Report accompanies an in-person Insights Presentation.
