New & Improved VolunteerMatch Hours Tracking Tools

Anyone who works in the field of employee volunteerism knows how important measurement and tracking are for determining a program’s success. You can’t measure what you can’t track, and it’s hard to report on your social impact (or work to elevate it) until you’ve got a way to measure what you’re already doing.

That’s why we’re proud to have just released new features for our corporate Hours Tracking tool that expand tracking capabilities, improve user experience, and give program administrators much more versatility.

The new features include account dashboards for all employee volunteers, a recurring hours module, and an easy-to-find activity summary page. Check out how each new feature will improve the hours tracking experience:

  • An Account Dashboard: Each employee volunteer now has access to a single page to view recent volunteer sign-ups, track completed hours, and even discover new places to volunteer.  For example, volunteers can now see a list of their recently viewed listings as well as any company-wide opportunities that might be upcoming.
  • Recurring Volunteering: No more backtracking! Set up hours entries for ongoing volunteer projects on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. The tools also send email notifications when a recurrence expires. That means fewer chances to miss a date or over-record on an already expired listing.
  • Easy-to-Find Tools: Employees can now find the actions they want quickly and easily. View recent activity, add hours with a few clicks of a button, and view updates in real time.

For employees, reporting their volunteering should be as easy and seamless as the process of getting inspired to begin with. And for administrators, it goes without saying that anything that encourages participation and tracking is a good thing. These new improvements should help on both fronts.

I am very interested in learning more about the automatic tracking hours tool. Please let me know where I can learn how to use this tool. I work at Procter & Gamble for the Pro Bono project and we definitely need this. Thank you.
