Nourish The Good: Newman’s Own® and VolunteerMatch

Last week we announced the launch of an exciting new campaign with Newman’s Own® to ‘Nourish the Good’ you do in 2011. The alliance runs through the end of the year, and offers visitors who sign up for a volunteer project at www.volunteermatch.org/nourishthegood a coupon for any Newman’s Own® product.

Right now the coupon is for $3 off – and in April, in support of National Volunteer Week, which runs from the 10th through the 16th, Newman’s Own® will provide a free voucher for any product.

A primary goal of the program is to make it easier for active volunteers to engage their social networks and, ultimately, to inspire even more community involvement. So ‘Nourish the Good’ also encourages each new volunteer to pass the offer along to five friends.

“Newman’s Own® deeply appreciates the value of volunteers and recognizes the impact of those who contribute their time and talent to local community organization,” explained Mike Havard, vice president of marketing for Newman’s Own, Inc. “Because of our philanthropic mission, we see this alliance as a way to put our products to work even harder in support of service.”

The Newman’s Own Foundation continues founder Paul Newman’s commitment to donate all profits to charity. Since 1982 the organization has given more than $300 million to thousands of charities. We look forward to seeing how this campaign can continue the Newman’s Own® motto of “shameless exploitation in pursuit of the Common Good.”
